Performing Arts Center for Entrepreneurship at Bakersfield College

The Performing Arts Center for Entrepreneurship (PACE) is a resource center that prepares students in the performing arts at Bakersfield College for the realities of the gig economy. Students will be led through a series of custom designed entrepreneurship career path templates and guided toward community mentor connections.  It is the aim of PACE to encourage students to think creatively about possible avenues for employment. By connecting students with local businesses and guiding them toward useful resources, PACE will help students carve out unique and rewarding careers in the performing arts.

Support for the establishment of PACE provided by a Faculty Entrepreneurship Champion mini-grant through the California Community College Chancellor’s Office.
